Building a Crib

We've been researching for weeks, trying to find a cool modern style crib, but we didn't know that "modern" is synonymous with "ridiculously overpriced."

But at the end of our rope, we came across a really affordable crib with modern lines--the Baby Mod ParkLane, so we bought one and built it to see how it looked--swell!

We are leaning toward purchasing a matching crib.

Here are some pictures of the building process. We'll post more pictures once we have the second crib built and looking good.

17 Weeks - Finding Out What We've Got!

Today, we went to find out the sex of the babies. We made a special appointment just for this reason. We walked into the special dark room at Mercy Southwest, and Cortnie lay down and exposed her growing belly. The technician, Ann Marie, moved the receptor around until one and then the other baby appeared, moving arms and legs, little hearts pumping. And there were the undeniable telltale proofs that they were boys! Yes, two boys!

The fact of two boys is still sinking in.

Finding out the sex has made everything much more concrete and even more fantastic.
